I went to a film night Monday and saw three short films about the work
of a local nonprofit that serves the homeless, street involved people,
and people addicted to drugs (they opened InSite, the only safe
injection site in north america). One thing that cracked me up ...

well, just to be clear, this particular homeless person was dragging a cart that had no wheels and was making sparks on the pavement ... also was raving about something or other ... and she was pestering the catering guys for food ... so she probably wouldn't have been welcome at any event!
