From Fearless City

A few weeks ago, I participated in a mobile livecast with Fearless Mobile, a local media org that does cable TV spots, internet broadcasting and documentation for community (DTES) events. It's totally cutting edge stuff, so that means lots of bugs and static. But fun!

So this time around the name of the game was "Streams of History," a revisiting of spots in downtown relevant to labour history. There's lots of labour history in this Left Coast loggers', fishermens' and miners' town! So basically my partner and I went out to one of the locations with a cellphone camera and broadcast live for a ten minute period.

Here's us arriving back at home base after our session.

it's been a long time since I've been able to upload one of my own videos to Buzznet. I found the situation al ittle depressing, but somehow my problem-solving brain never quite engaged with the problem until last night, when it suddenly said, "Hey! Why not upload the videos to Youtube and link from there!"

aren't I clever?

so today I'm gonna go through all the horribly outdated videos I have on my computer. prepare for a flood of nostalgia!
